Let me start off by saying, I’m not a writer. I’m simply a guy that decided a long time ago that I had the heart and capacity to make at least a small difference. So I gave up on being a corporate drone, because at the end of the day it didn’t matter. Sure the pay check was fine but if I ever work solely for money again I will have lost my way.
Fast forward to ROI Pop. We started our media agency for a simple and pure reason. To be different and to make a difference. Nonprofits make our world significantly better, most people don’t even notice the impact they have on all of us every day. Just in my immediate community here in the northern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, there are literally hundreds of nonprofits providing invaluable services to people and causes of all kinds. What if they all simply disappeared one day? What would fill that void…….government programs?, we all know how those end up. Perhaps something else? I can’t name it off the top of my head so it is likely nothing would completely fill the void nonprofits fill. This would put our children, our safety, and our future at risk, and that is not an over statement. We are fortunate to live in a country that is the most generous in the world, there are over 1.8 million nonprofit organizations in the U.S., together they help ensure our society will continue to thrive.
ROI Pop helps support nonprofits, it is what we are dedicated to. Many nonprofits have difficulty getting their message out, and in turn attracting new donors. We aim to fix that and do it in a variety of ways. We give nonprofits access to professional services for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) management, and supporting services. And we do it in a way that works for them, because we understand nonprofits.
Secondly, we give back. Our ROI Pop Grant program is unique in that we provide free professional PPC management to outstanding nonprofits. Many of the applicants have a Google Grant for Adwords. That is great, except that no one shows these Google Grant winners how to go about being successful with their grant award. It is akin to handing the keys to a Ferrari to a 10 year old that has never driven a car before… the results can be frightening. Our Grant takes care of that issue and for 2011 we were proud to award Drop in the Bucket and Healthy Child Healthy World our ROI Pop Grants.
These grants will make a significant impact on both of these organizations and we can’t wait to share the results next year but for now you can take a look at the press release announcing these awards: https://news.yahoo.com/roi-pop-awards-50-000-grants-two-nonprofits-130255387.html . Finally, technology. Over the coming months and years we will be rolling out a number of technologies aimed at helping nonprofits succeed. Not fluff, but actual products and services that will change how nonprofits raise awareness, attract and retain new donors and so on.
This is a very exciting time for all of us at ROI Pop. It is easy to get up in the morning when everyday matters. We hope you will follow along as we grow. Comments, advice, and criticism are always welcome because we know some of the best ideas come from those that are outside of your box.
